Kitesurfing speed record in France

Robbie Douglas (USA) set a new world speed sailing record for kitesurfing on July 1 at the 2026 Prince of Speed in La Palme, France. Douglas’ speed of 42.75 knots on the one nautical mile course (to be ratified by the WSSRC) improved his previous record of 42.73 set on the same course in 2025.
