Rob Douglas: Fastest Sailor in America

Rob Douglas USA-55 sailed his Cabrinha Velocity prototypes to victory and won his 5th consecutive North American Speed Sailing Invitational (NASSI) title.

During the 2015 NASSI, held at Martha’s Vineyard on October 17-31, Rob won 10 out of the 14 races and set the best speed of the event. Races were held on 250 meter courses in wind speeds averaging 16 to 28 knots. Riders were timed using GPS devises.

With this win, America’s fastest sailor (55.65kts) Rob Douglas remains undefeated (11-0) in international kitesurfing speed sailing competitions since October 2011. Team USA also beat the Team Euro and held on to the Lynch Cup, the most prestigious trophy in national team speed sailing.
