The Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race is only three weeks away and Rolex has released a preview, in the new Sport of “Synchronised Sanding” we show a local three-man team training on the new sections of Wild Oats XI, Oracle Team USA the Americas Cup defenders get a new boat, sad news as top French super-sailor Franck Cammas has a very bad accident on his foiling cat, the RC 44 finals are run at the Yacht Club Costa Smerelda’s base in Virgin Gorda, the MUSTO International Match Racing at the CYCA, Francis Joyon and Bernard Stamm slow down heading for the Cape of Good Hope and they work with the children of the Jules Verne school in France while on Spindrift 2 it’s “maintenance time” off Brazil, the Finns wind up in Takapuna in New Zealand and Liesl Tesch and Dan Fitzgibben win gold in Melbourne at the Para World Sailing Championships.
