Noumea, New Caledonia (June 15, 2016) – Day two of the 2016 Youth Match Racing World Championships saw the winds ease for the ten international teams as the first round robin concluded.

Carrying on their day one form, the home crew skippered by Cyril Fortin (FRA) finished with a perfect nine wins from nine to finish on top going in to the second round robin stage. An impressive performance for the team considered outsiders and ranked World #152.

Following closely in second position, the Australian crew skippered by Harry Price became the first team to beat Fortin and crew as they took an early second round robin scalp.

Between the two teams they had 11 victories from 12 matches.

The second round robin is scheduled to finish on day three, after which the top eight teams advance to the quarter finals.
