Final Series Underway at Optimist Worlds

Vilamoura, Portugal (June 29, 2016) – After three days of qualifying at the Optimist World Championship, the 255 sailors from 59 countries have been divided into Gold, Silver, Bronze and Emerald fleets for the final series that began today. The top 64 sailors competing for the title struggled for consistency today, with Mathias Berthet (NOR) taking the lead with finishes of 1-33. Top North American is Justin Callahan (USA) in seventh after posting a 45-1 today.
