Video Highlights: Extreme Sailing Series St Petersburg 2016

Over four days in St Petersburg on September 1-4, the world-class sailors of the Extreme Sailing Series experienced some of the best racing of the 2016 global tour so far at this Russian venue. After 24 races hosted by the St Petersburg Yacht Club, it all came to a nail-biting climax in the crucial final double-pointer, that saw the two-time winners of the America’s Cup, Alinghi, snatch victory from the hands of Oman Air. The Extreme Sailing Series is in its tenth season, with this year’s eight event tour travelling through Asia, Europe, and Australia. The platform used is the one design foiling GC32 catamaran, with the format highlighting ‘stadium’ short-course racing in front of the public.
