On this week’s “World on Water” global sailing news show:
In this episode, the winner of the 2016-17 Vendee Globe is Armel Le Clearc’h in Banque Populaire VIII in the time of 74 days 3 hours 35 minutes and 03 seconds. Meanwhile Francis Joyon is doing the same RTW record in the Jules Verne Trophy and is near the finish and his Super Tris will do it around 40 days. Also the fantastic TP 52 are in Key West and Platoon is riding heavy in the first races of the 2017 series, in Australia the Royal Geelong Yacht Club conducted their premier regatta the Festival Of Sails and we interview the Chairman Peter Alexander with great video of the first three days and then Jeremy Beyou comes in third with the terrible threesome Jean-Pierre Dick, Yann Elies and the wonderful Jean Le Cam (Yes We Cam Clack, clack, clack). As a special see how JPD sews up a cut in his face with a STAPLER…. OUCH! This is a must watch.
