VIDEO: The Foiling Optimist

Published on April 5th, 2017

A composite with added graphene made the hull stronger and lighter and hydrofoils sought to decrease drag and permit greater speeds. After experimenting and testing in SSPA’s ship research and development facility in Gothenburg, Sweden, the Optimist proves it can fly. Video published on Apr 5, 2017.
