Sailing Events Confirmed for 2019 Pan American Games

Thirty-eight sports will participate in the 2019 Pan American Games to be held July 25 to August 11 in Lima, Peru. The Sailing events and equipment have been confirmed for the 18th edition of this major sporting event in the Americas that features summer sports.

The ten events are:
RS:X, men
RS:X, women
Laser Standard, men
Laser Radial, women
Sunfish, open
Snipe, mixed
49erFX, women
Lightning, mixed
Nacra 17, mixed
Kites, open

Eight of the events are carried over from the 2015 Games, with the Nacra 17 and Kites replacing the Hobie 16 (open) and J/24 (open).

A qualifying schedule beginning in 2017 has also been confirmed to advance 148 athletes that will compete in 106 entries.
