Greg Schertz took this shot on Lake Dillon on July 28, 2018 while running races as PRO for the Dillon Yacht Club, located in Dillon, CO.

In the photo is the J/24 Pinotage, owned by Greg and Susan Johnson, which had just rounded the weather mark when they were hit by this hail micro-burst which turned the water white.

“Yes, we have challenging sailing sometimes at the nation’s highest sailing club – 9017-feet,” remarked Schertz.
