VIDEO: Showing what’s possible

George Town is a town on Great Exuma, the largest of the 365 islands that form the district of the Bahamas called Exuma. But despite the inescapable view of sapphire-blue water, sailing is not a popular activity among the locals.
Exuma Sailing Club is seeking to change that as it reaches out to the young people in the community and introduces them to the sport. This video shares the experience of their third annual Learn to Sail camp.
“This little club on a patch of beach is making a difference,” said Scuttlebutt editor Craig Leweck. “It’s all volunteer help with donated equipment but shows what’s possible and what’s important, which is to enjoy the freedom of sailing on an amazingly beautiful bay.”
