USC wins Battle on the Bay 2018

In anticipation of the college football rivalry game on November 17 between the USC Trojans and the UCLA Bruins, the inaugural Battle of the Bay was held between the schools on November 11 in Long Beach, CA. The match race format was held in Solings from Long Beach Yacht Club, with USC skipper Randy Smith losing the first pairing against Chris Macy but then rolling off three straight wins to claim the Victory Bell perpetual trophy for his Alma mater.
