U.S. selection process for Youth Match Racing Worlds

Bristol, RI (January 2, 2019) – The 2019 Youth Match Racing World Championship will be held August 11-17 in Ekaterinburg, Russia. To be sailed using the Ricochet 747, the skipper representing the U.S. will be selected by resume. Applications must be submitted by 12:00am CT on February 15, 2019.

To be considered for selection, skippers must meet the eligibility requirements:

• Hold an active US Sailing membership when competing in the 2019 event
• Be a US citizen or eligible permanent resident with written authorization from World Sailing for an exemption under World Sailing Regulation 24.5.4
• Meet the eligibility requirements of World Sailing regulation 19, Eligibility Code
• Must not have turned 23 years of age as of December 31, 2019
