Benjamin undefeated at Etchells Biscayne Bay Series

The four-event Etchells Biscayne Bay Series continued with its second stage on January 5-6 with 46 teams on Biscayne Bay in Miami, FL. After winning the first event, Steve Benjamin is now 2-for-2 after the Sidney Doren Memorial Regatta which saw three races in the teens on day one but no wind on day two. Benjamin with Michael Menninger, Ian Liberty, and Jonny Goldsberry finished six points clear of Jay Cross with Tom Lihan seven points further back in third.

Louis Piana Cup Regatta December 8 & 9, 2018
Sidney Doren Memorial Regatta January 5 & 6, 2019
Florida State Championship February 9 & 10, 2019
Mid-Winter’s East Regatta March 1 – 3, 2019

To qualify for the overall 2018-19 Etchells Biscayne Bay Series prizes, boats must include their score in the Mid-Winter’s Regatta and any two of the other three individual regattas (Piana Cup, Sidney Doren Memorial, or Florida State Championship). Overall scores from each individual regatta of the series will be used employing The Low Point System (1st Place = 1 point, 2nd Place = 2 points, 3rd Place = 3 points, etc.). The boat with the lowest score will be declared the overall winner of the 2018 Biscayne Bay Regatta Series.
