Goldfarb, Suddath win Melges 24 US National Championship

Fairhope, Alabama (May 26, 2019) – Seven races were completed at the 2019 Melges 24 US National Championship with Michael Goldfarb at the helm of Warcanoe (above) winning the regatta on the final day.

K.C. Shannon on Shaka held the early event lead up until Race Six when discards went into effect. Goldfarb and his team of David Brink, Jonny Goldsberry, and Morten Henriksen tossed out a 17th in Race Two, putting him ahead for the win.

Light air conditions and hot temps prevailed during the entire event.

Steve Suddath won the Corinthian Trophy, finishing 10th overall. Seventeen out of the 35 teams qualified to compete for the all-amateur division.

Racing was held from May 24 to 26.
