Voting open for Mirabaud Sailing Video Award

Published on October 25th, 2019

(October 25, 2019) – The Mirabaud Sailing Video Award invites the public to discover the best sailing videos produced this year, and to contribute to the selection of the best ones by voting online.

Thirty four filmmakers or video producers spanning 10 countries submitted a video this year. Open to professional directors, editors or cameramen, as well as professional sailors who produce videos during international regattas, the Mirabaud Sailing Video Award aims to celebrate the very best sailing videos produced each year and their authors.

This year, impressive videos from the IMOCA class, the Ultime super-multihulls, Sail GP, Olympic classes or the Golden Globe Race have been submitted. Some prestigious sailors such as Franck Cammas, Sam Davies, Jérémie Beyou or Armel Le Cléac’h are featured in some of the videos submitted.

The main prize – the Mirabaud Sailing Video Award – will be judged by an international jury comprised of Nico Martinez (photographer), Nic Douglass (blogger & sailor), Nathalie Quéré (sports marketing expert), Nicolas Mirabaud (Managing Partner, Mirabaud), Elena Otekina (journalist, Yacht Russia), and Nacho Gomez-Zarzuela (director of the Valencia Boat Show).

The Public Prize is based on the number of votes on the website, between October 25 and November 18. Discover the best videos of the year, vote and select the best.

Vote online here.

The 2019 contest winners will be celebrated at the Yacht Racing Forum in Bilbao (ESP) on November 25-26, at an official prize giving ceremony during the gala evening of the Forum, in front of the sports leading personalities from all over the world. For information on the 2019 contest, click here.
