2020 I420 North Americans

In a near repeat of the 2020 I420 North Americans, Justin and Mitchell Callahan (USA) again walked away from the fleet at the 2020 I420 US Midwinter Championship, held February 15-17 in Miami, FL. The Callahans picked up five bullets in the 8-race series, and with the win dominated the first of two qualifiers for 2020 Youth Worlds in the Men’s I420 fleet.

Vanessa Larhrkamp/ Katherine McNamara (USA) finished second overall and top girls team, and were also therefore, the top qualifier in the first of two qualifiers for the Women’s I420 fleet for Youth Worlds.

Lachlain McGranahan/ Emery Diemar (USA) finished third, just two points behind Larhrkamp/ McNamara to round out the podium in this very competitive 35-boat fleet that raced for three days in mostly light to moderate conditions.

The second and final I420 qualifier for the the USA Youth Worlds Team will in June at the 2020 US Youth Championships in Pensacola, FL. The 2020 Youth Worlds are in Brazil in December.
