2020-21 Islands in the Stream Series
Published on April 13th, 2020
The winter plan for the 2020-21 Islands in the Stream Series will again deliver a circuit of offshore events along south Florida and the Bahamas.
The series will once again kick off with the 79th edition of the Nassau Cup Ocean Race on November 13.
The Wirth M Munroe Palm Beach Race is up next, and the “Race to the Buffett” starts on December 4 and finishes with Sailfish Club of Florida’s legendary party, feast and awards presentation.
The series then heads south for some island time in January with the Ft. Lauderdale to Key West Race on January 21, 2021. The tropics in January provide the perfect spot to unwind with the Conch Grinder Race, and to enjoy the treasures and pleasures of Key West before the awards party at First Flight Island Bar and Restaurant (formerly Kelly’s Caribbean).
It all wraps up with another trip to the Bahamas with the 2nd annual Eleuthera Race, starting off South Beach, Miami on February 17, 2020 and finishing at the Cape Eleuthera Resort and Marina.
Or does it?
A possible offshore (Miami Beach) W/L regatta is proposed for March 20-21, 2021. This would be an adjunct to the series… feedback is desired at firstname.lastname@example.org.
