This film provided by the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia highlights the early communications in the Sydney Hobart Yacht Race, going back to even carrier pigeons! Rob McAuley, was the filmmaker which was produced in 1990.

Rob had “lost” this film and regularly over the years expressed hope of finding a copy, which now can be shared to see his work and the amazing story.

A keen yachty himself, Rob expired on January 16, 2020.
