2020 Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup, Rolex Swan Cup cancelled

In light of the significant increase in the infection curve due to several outbreaks in the Costa Smeralda area and in Porto Cervo in particular, in order to protect the health of the staff, visitors to the facilities, and sailors, the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda has decided to cancel the 2020 Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup and the Rolex Swan Cup.

The YCCS had employed all of its resources, and done everything within its power to make holding the traditional September regattas feasible, while ensuring maximum safety for all employees, partners, visitors and sailors. However, it is with this same sense of responsibility that the YCCS has had to accept that the complex public health situation in the area has rendered it objectively impossible for these events to take place at the current time.

The Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup was to be held August 30 to September 4 with the Rolex Swan Cup to follow on September 6 to 13.
