No World Sailor of the Year in 2020

Due to the interruption to the sailing calendar caused by the current global pandemic, the Rolex World Sailor of the Year Awards will not be presented in 2020.

The Rolex World Sailor of the Year Award is the most prestigious award of recognition in the dynamic sport of sailing. Since the awards’ inception in 1994, the trophy has proudly accumulated the names of those who have demonstrated unparalleled endurance, performance and accomplishment in sailing.

It is the intention of World Sailing to recognize success and excellence within the sailing community in 2021.
