USA teams battle at 2021 470 Worlds

Vilamoura, Portugal (March 9, 2021) – Two more races were completed at the 2021 470 World Championship which finds three women’s teams tight on points in the final USA qualification event to select the Women’s Two Person Dinghy representative for Tokyo 2020. Boosted today with a 12-2, Nikole Barnes/ Lara Dallman-Weiss leads Carmen and Emma Cowles by two points with Atlantic and Nora Brugman four points further back.

The Championships on March 8-18 will be competed as single series per event, with 11 races and one discard to determine the top ten positions which advance to the Medal Race on the final day. At least 5 races are required to be completed to constitute the regatta series and/or to enter the Medal Race.
