Race to Alaska Podcast

Published on March 21st, 2024

The Race to Alaska will hold its 8th edition in 2024, continuing with its 750-mile course from Port Townsend, WA to Ketchikan, AK. And now there is a podcast series prior to the June 9 start. This week’s episode starts with an extremely awesome update about R2AK’s future from the Race Boss, followed by interviews with two extremely awesome teams:

Team Norepinephrine
Last time we saw Lionel and Randy Jensen, it was as 2022’s Team Stern Wheelin, aboard what can only be described as the “Mississippi-Gambling-Boat-est” vessel to ever race R2AK. This year, they’re back, and with two shiny new crew. Listen in as Race Boss Emeritus Daniel chats with Lionel.

Team Let’s Wing It
We were supposed to see Martin Rother last year amongst the paddlers of 2023. But things change and he couldn’t come and play. Never fear—this winner of the 444-mile Yukon River Quest is back, and gunning for the Oaracle Blister Prize.
