VIDEO: Not having a Hobie Day

Coast Guard Air Station Traverse City MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew rescues three people on July 28 2025 from the water in Sturgeon Bay on Lake Michigan. The crew received the report of a capsized vessel which appears to be a Hobie 16, and responded and rescued the survivors then transported them to Pellston Regional Airport in Michigan where Emergency Medical Services were awaiting.
