Storm halts 470 Junior World Championship

Bracciano, Italy (August 21, 2018) – The 2018 International 470 Junior World Championship got underway today for the 79 teams representing 22 countries. Only one race was completed for the boys and girls fleets before racing was cancelled when a sudden storm brought gusts of over 30 knots and intense rain. Both Madeleine Rice/ Laura Slovensky (USA) and Wiley Rogers/ Jack Parkin (USA) placed 2nd in their races. The competition is planned for August 21 to 26. Details.
