Last race decides Act 3 Extreme Sailing Series

Qingdao, China (May 5, 2013) – After 25 races, the four day Extreme Sailing Series saved its best for the final double-points race to determine the winner between Alinghi and The Wave, Muscat. The Swiss America’s Cup winners, with Morgan Larson taking the helm from team’s skipper Ernesto Bertarelli at this Act, won the race but could not get a boat in between themselves and Leigh McMillan’s team to deny them the victory. In the overall, Alinghi holds a narrow lead over The Wave, Muscat with five more events remaining on the 2013 circuit. – Full report
