Published on January 26th, 2014

(January 26, 2014; Day 9) The South Atlantic has not been kind to French skipper Thomas Coville and the maxi-trimaran Sodebo, which has slipped to 227 mile (as of 21:00 TU) behind the solo around the world record set of Francis Joyon (FRA). At 17 degrees south and hugging the Brazilian coast, Coville has not yet been able to bend his course east toward Africa and the Southern Ocean. Team website.
