Published on October 3rd, 2014

Toronto, Ont (October 3, 2014) – The final day at the Open 2.4mR World Championship looked to shuffle the standings when the opening race awarded six BFD penalties, with leader and reigning World Champion Stellan Berlin of Sweden among them. However, Berlin regained form to win the tenth and final race to take the title over the 35-boat fleet. Fellow Scandinavian Bjørnar Erikstad (NOR) posted a 4-3 today to move up from third to second overall, switching positions with 2012 Paralympic gold medalist Helena Lucas (GBR) who slid from second to third.
