Sarasota ready for 50th Sunfish Worlds

The 2021 Sunfish World Championship has attracted 100 entrants from 11 nations for the COVID-postponed 50th edition on October 25-29 in Sarasota, FL.

With new boats supplied by Sunfish Direct, the favorites include 2018 World Champion Jean Paul de Trazegnies (PER), 2021 North American Champion Conner Blouin (USA), 2019 Youth World Champion Simon Gomez Ortez (COL), and 2019 Masters World Champion Alex Zimmerman (PER).

Also, the age range of this World Championship reflects the Class overall with Paul Odegaard (CT) competing at age 84 against the 16-year-old Peruvian Sophie Zimmerman.
