2022 5O5 World Championship

Stuart McNay and Caleb Paine (USA, above) dominated the 2022 5O5 World Championship on August 8-13, winning five of the seven races to finish eight points clear of Nathan Batchelor/ Sam Pascoe (GBR) in second with Peter Nicholas/ Luke Payne (AUS) 13 points further back in third. Light air prevailed for the 76 teams, with three days without racing, but 12-14 knots prevailed for the final two days to complete the series in Cork, Ireland. The two lead boats both used new Ovington V2 hulls, Pinnell and Bax sails, and Superspar M2 masts. – Details
