Henric Wigforss (SWE) won the 2023 Optimist World Championship, topping the 248-boat field from 54 nations on June 17-24 in Costa Brava, Spain. Wigforss was closely matched by Travis Greenberg (USA), but a tactical attack in the final race buried Greenberg into 60th, giving Wigforss a five-point winning margin.
