The planned 3-day Sunfish US Nationals at Midwinters became a one-day event due to a lack of wind on the first day and too much on the second. Four races were completed for 69 competitors in 15-18 knots, with David Hernandez of Guatemala winning with a 1-1-1-4 scoreline, besting Juan Carlos Canizalez, also of Guatemala in 2nd, and Sebastian Medina of Puerto Rico in 3rd. Josselyn Echeverria, who represented Guatemala in Women’s Sunfish at the 2023 Pan Am Games, was the top female in 11th place. – Details
