Weiss and Foght new Buccaneer 18 North American champions

Thirty boats competed in the Buccaneer 18 North American Championship, held on Lake Dillon in Dillon, CO. Ten races were completed August 5-8 in mostly brisk winds. After surviving a microburst on the penultimate day, with sustained 40 mph winds capsizing half the fleet event and abandoning the race, John Weiss and Jay Foght closed strong on the final day to take the title.
