Weisleder opens lead at RS21 North Americans

Published on June 20th, 2020

Seabrook, TX (June 20, 2020) – Travis Weisleder continues to dominate the Inaugural RS21 North American Championships with 9 bullets out of 12 races sailed, throwing out a 3rd. Using 12 provided boats, 17 teams are participating in a round robin format allowing various teams opportunities within their own flights.

John Lovell has sailed into second place with two bullets in the last flight of the day. Glenn Darden has been consistent to sit comfortably in third overall.

With a target time of 20 minutes, short style races have created fast-paced racing with many battles throughout the fleet. Stadium style racing close to shore has attracted spectators on the water and along the lake shores.

Racing will continue June 21 with a split into Gold and Silver fleet racing to determine the event champion.
