New World KiteSail Speed Record

The World Sailing Speed Record Council has confirmed the establishment of a new World KiteSail Record. On November 11, 2013, Alexandre Caizergues (FRA) clocked a speed of 56.62 knots on the 500 meter course at Port St Louis, France. The previous record was held by Rob Douglas (USA), who set a speed of 55.65 knots in Luderitz, Namibia on October 2010.
