40th Annual Spring Series Regatta

The first half of the 40th Annual Spring Series Regatta was hosted April 27-28 by American Yacht Club in Rye, NY. Sixty-nine teams competed in IRC, PHRF, and One Design Classes, with three windward-leeward races completed for all fleets except for Performance Cruising – PHRF Plus One which had one random leg contest.

After heavy winds on day one prevented racing, both courses for day two started races on time and featured conditions that were 10-15 knots of breeze out of the north/northeast. The cool and rainy conditions took a backseat briefly for a spot of sunshine that helped make for a great day of sailing.
