Breeze on at Kona One Worlds

Published on August 15th, 2019

Trento, Italy (August 15, 2019) – The opening day at the 2019 Kona One Worlds saw the Ora (the famous thermal southern wind in the region) deliver 15-20 knots and solid chop in the afternoon to show the fleet it meant business.

It was a battle between youth and experience, and the veteran Bjorn Holm (SWE) today showed wunderkid Alex Temko (USA) that he’s going to have to earn it to defend his 2018 title. Muscles are aching after today’s four breezy races, with Holm holding a one point edge on Temko while Tim Aagesen (DEN) is two points further back in third.

The 14th Kona One World Championship is being held August 15 to 18 on Lake Garda.
