Weisleder wins Melges 24 North American Championship

Forty-one teams competed in the 2019 Melges 24 North American Championship held August 16-18 in Traverse City, MI. Travis Weisleder (USA), trailing Richard Reid (CAN) after the first two days, took the title on the final day when the lone sixth race allowed for a discard. Weisleder’s 4th to Reid’s 7th provided a one point victory. Weisleder team included Mike Buckley, George Peet, Chewy Sanchez, and John Bowden. The 2019 Corinthian title went to Fraser McMillan along with crew Aiden Koster, Alexander Levkovskiy, and Keegan Moynihan.
