Peter Cunningham’s MOD70 trimaran PowerPlay set a new world record for the classic Fastnet Race course of 25 hours 4 mins 18 secs. Crossing the Royal Yacht Squadron start line in Cowes, rounding the Fastnet Rock in southern Ireland, and finishing as the pass the breakwater in Plymouth Sound, the team averaged 23.73 knots along the 595nm distance.
