WSSRC Ratifies Kiteboard Records

The World Sailing Speed Record Council announced the establishment of a new world record in the category of ‘Around Isle of Wight; Kitesurfer and Singlehanded‘. On June 30, Guy Bridge (GBR) sailed his Foil Kitesurf Board along the 50 nm course around the English island in a time of 2 hours 32 minutes and 25 seconds (avg speed 19.68 kts).

Additionally, Steph Bridge (GBR) established a new world record in the category of ‘Around Isle of Wight; Outright Women and Women Singlehanded‘. On June 30, Bridge completed the course on her Foil Kitesurf Board in 3 hours 3 minutes and 24 seconds (avg speed 16.34 kts).
