2022 Lightning Winter Championship

The Lightning Southern Circuit got underway for 37 teams at the Winter Championship on March 20-22 in St. Petersburg, FL.

After three races on day one, Marvin Beckmann and Augie Diaz were tied for the lead, but David Starck vaulted into the lead on day two with a 2-1-1. With two races on the final day, Starck with crew Jenna Probst and Thomas Starck won the first race to seal the victory.

Sailing conditions were 8-15 knots from the North shifting to the Southeast as a big High Pressure moved across the top of Florida and provided great breeze for the fleet.
