New World Records for around Australia

The World Sailing Speed Record Council have approved the establishment of a new Women and Singlehanded Monohull World Record for sailing around Australia. From October 20 to December 17 in 2018, Lisa Blair (AUS) completed the 6536nm course on a 50-footer in a time of 58 days 2 hours 25 minutes 39 seconds for an average speed of 4.69 knots. These are initial records in both categories.
