Four new speed records confirmed

The World Sailing Speed Record (WSSR) Council announced the ratification of the following new World Nautical Mile Records established at La Palme, France in June 2019:

• Roberto Douglas, USA. World Nautical Mile Kitesail Record: 39.04 kts on June 10, 2019.
Previous record: Christophe Ballois. FRA. 35.78 kts on July 21, 2018.

• Heidi Ulrich, SUI. World Women’s Nautical Mile Record: 37.62 kts on June 10, 2019.
Previous record: Zara Davis. GBR. 37.29 kts on July 21, 2018.

• Marine Tlattla. FRA. World Women’s Nautical Mile Kitesail Record: 35.41 kts on June 10, 2019.
Previous record: Marine Tlattla. FRA. 33.60 kts on July 16, 2018.

• Marine Tlattla. FRA. World Women’s Nautical Mile Kitesail Record: 35.86 kts on June 22, 2019.
Previous record: Marine Tlattla. FRA. 35.41 kts on June 10, 2019.
