US court dismisses antitrust lawsuit

The United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida dismissed the entire complaint brought by Export Yacht Sales (Brill Maritime), which alleged that Boats Group illegally monopolized the US online boat-listing market through YachtWorld, Boat Trader, and boats.com.

The lawsuit was filed on 14 August 2025, with Brill Maritime alleging that Boats Group controlled approximately 75 percent of the market for listing and marketing recreational boats and used subscription agreements that either bar or discourage brokers and dealers from listing vessels on rival platforms. – Full report
